Arts-X-press is a summer arts immersion program for 7th and 8th grade students created by the Pacific Symphony in celebration of Cole Carsan St.Clair. 150 students are nominated by teachers throughout Orange County to come together for 5 days of creative exploration each summer. The program has two goals: 1) To expose students to all 5 performing and visual arts; and 2) To foster respect for and interest in each student’s individuality, talents, interests, and background.

Into the Woods with James!

Dear arts-X-press Family,

Here is an event that arts-X-press alumni and former Counselor James would like to share with you all:

--------------------------------------------------

Hey Everyone!

I'm VERY pleased to write to you all about my senior musical, Into The Woods. If you saw Les Miserables last year, expect to be entertained once again!

For those who don't know, the show is about many fairy tale characters such as Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Ridinghood, and others whose stories all intertwine and create an adventure about wishing for what you want and the consequences that follow.

The show features a lot of talent and the singing is very well prepared (especially for a Sondheim show). I will be playing the Baker, one of the leads, who plays a very integral part in the plot. Being this is my last year in High School, it would be great to see all of you there, not only in support of me, but the whole cast & Music Department who has suffered a lot this past year due to many confounding factors. Yet, how great it is that despite these differences, we can put together a show of this magnitude!

Here's the sparknotes on the show:

Thursday, April 24 @ 3:00pm
Thursday April 24 @ 7:00pm

Friday April 25 @ 7:00pm

Saturday, April 26 @ 2:00pm

Tickets (At the door & Pre-sale):
$10 Adults & $5 Students
(714)513-2900 Ext. 62106
*People with Pre-sale tickets will enter the theater before others at the performance.

Location:
Saddleback High School Forum
2802 S. Flower St
Santa Ana, CA 92707
(Segerstrom & S. Flower St.)

I hope you can all make it and I hope to see you there, I wish ;)

Thank you!

James
