Arts-X-press is a summer arts immersion program for 7th and 8th grade students created by the Pacific Symphony in celebration of Cole Carsan St.Clair. 150 students are nominated by teachers throughout Orange County to come together for 5 days of creative exploration each summer. The program has two goals: 1) To expose students to all 5 performing and visual arts; and 2) To foster respect for and interest in each student’s individuality, talents, interests, and background.

Parent Presentation Anticipation

Resident Coordinator Leah here, giving you the sneak peak before the much anticipated parent presentation. I popped into some of the arts workshops as they were rehearsing for tonight. The students were joined by special guest pacific symphony musicians Cindy Ellis, Adam Neeley, Ian Mckinnell and Mike Hoffman for lunch. After lunch, the musicians did a demonstration and lead an instrument petting zoo where students could try out different instruments. Finally, the students came together in a drum circle lead by staff member Kjersti. The students are anxiously awaiting your arrival and can't wait to show you what they've accomplished here at Arts-x-press!
