Arts-X-press is a summer arts immersion program for 7th and 8th grade students created by the Pacific Symphony in celebration of Cole Carsan St.Clair. 150 students are nominated by teachers throughout Orange County to come together for 5 days of creative exploration each summer. The program has two goals: 1) To expose students to all 5 performing and visual arts; and 2) To foster respect for and interest in each student’s individuality, talents, interests, and background.

Week One Day Five

It is the final day of arts-X-press. Students got up early, with the creative help of their counselors, to pack their bags.

We went to breakfast at Mesa and then headed on over to Studio Four for arts-X-press closing activities. We played the Name Game, where many of the students we able to name all 70 people who were in the room!! Counselors announced the winners of the Clean Room Contests and then we had the arts-X-press Certificate Gauntlet. This was a chance for all of the students to be congratulated for all their hard work by their peers and the arts-X-press Staff.

Then came the time to say "See You Soon." Many of the students were disappointed to be leaving their new friends, but were going home with many cherished memories. Hugs and High Fives were all around and then the students headed on over with luggage for their last ride on the arts-X-press Party Bus!
