Arts-X-press is a summer arts immersion program for 7th and 8th grade students created by the Pacific Symphony in celebration of Cole Carsan St.Clair. 150 students are nominated by teachers throughout Orange County to come together for 5 days of creative exploration each summer. The program has two goals: 1) To expose students to all 5 performing and visual arts; and 2) To foster respect for and interest in each student’s individuality, talents, interests, and background.

Everyone is having an amazing time so far, settling in and meeting all of their wonderful new friends! :)

Carl St.Clair instructs young conductors at Symphony in the CitiesThis evening, we will be going to Mission Viejo for Symphony in the Cities, a fun outdoor concert by our very own Pacific Symphony! The concert will feature excerpts from The Sound of Music, as well as some classic American tunes by John Philip Sousa!

Tomorrow, we are heading to see "Singing in the Rain" at Musical Theatre West! Can't wait for a night of love, laughter, and so much FUN at the theater!!! "What a glorious feeling..." :)

Festival of Arts Pageant of the Masters

And on Monday night we'll be over at Laguna Beach's Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters! We will get to make some of our own beautiful art at the Festival, and walk around the various different arts exhibits as well. The theme for this year's Pageant is "The Pursuit of  Happiness." We will explore the ways that happiness can be expressed through art, as we watch both classic and modern art pieces come to life on the stage!

Can't wait for an amazing week of fun, creativity, and art with these young artists! Stay tuned for more updates!
